Welcome!
I am Nemanja Đokić
Web App Developer

Who am I?

My name is Nemanja Đokić. I am a Web App Developer with six years of commercial experience, which I gained through developing/maintaining various Web Apps. I strive for continuous self-improvement, which can be achieved only by dealing with challenging projects that will satisfy my passion for knowledge and keep me motivated for constant learning. I spent about the same time working on the front-end and back-end. From all that experience, I realized I fell in love with JavaScript. I prefer front-end over back-end.

Interest

CHESS

Garry Kasparov said: "Chess helps you to concentrate, improve your logic. It teaches you to play by the rules and take responsibility for your actions, how to problem solve in an uncertain environment". I could not agree more on that, I just could add that it is great stress relief for me. You can find and challenge me on Chess.com. I am always in the mood for chessing.

NATURE

If I am not playing chess in my free time, I am probably hiking somewhere in mountains hidden from the city noise. Time slows down, my mind calms and I am overwhelmed with silence and stillness. What a relief!

SWIMMING AND RUNNING

It's not that I enjoy it very much but exercise has many benefits, not only for physical health but also mental health. In the brain, exercise stimulates chemicals that improve mood and the parts of the brain responsible for memory and learning. I try to force myself to do it at least twice a week.
